The scar for an abdominoplasty is usually placed across the lower abdomen. It can stretch from one side to the other depending on the size of the stomach. All surgery results in some sort of scar and all scars take time to soften and fade. You will not see the final appearance of your scar for up to a year after surgery.

The 40 year old Australian singer has had cosmetic injections to combat wrinkles and also hinted that she might have undergone other anti-ageing procedures.

No matter how much I try to maintain a rigorous beauty routine through the winter months, it has taken a spring wedding (and the accompanying “whether to wear tights” dilemma) to make me painfully aware that I suffer from an “out of sight, out of mind” mentality when it comes to body upkeep. Not that it’s anything too grotesque, mind, just scarily pale skin and  a few bumpy bits that could do with a good scrub, some turbo-powered hydration and a wash of colour.

For once I’m ahead of the game as I’ve plenty of time to schedule in my treatments before the sun really begins to shine. A course of hair removal can take four to six treatments and should be six week apart. Now the only dilemma I’m focused on is the relative merits of gladiators versus platforms for my holiday poolside posing..
